I like toe socks.

This is a really random post…but I just had to share that I have discovered the wonders of toe socks.  Oh, and that it’s official that dryers eat socks.  I know this because I know I put two pairs of fuzzy socks into the dryer the other day…and only one and half pairs came out.  That’s how the toe socks came about; I needed a new pair of fuzzy socks, because I have a tile floor in my room and it’s freezing, and I found some, but they happened to be toe socks as well.  So I took a risk and bought them anyway.  And maybe it’s because they are fuzzy socks, but they’re really comfortable!!  I really, really like them!

I may have to add toe socks to my shopping list for the day after Christmas.

By toe socks do you mean socks with 5 toes, or the ones with just a divide for the big toe (like mittens only for feet)?

I had the weirdest dream about my feet last night. I stepped in some acid in my bare feet and it burned the skin off in places - you could see the bones and tendons sticking out. It was gross and painful - but it took a long time to get someone to do something about it and get me to a hospital. But the doctor diagnosed the problem and fixed them right up. Then we had to go around and figure where the acid was coming from (it was a combination of acid rain and some chemical property of the materials of this old house we were living in).

There were other parts, too. But anyway, maybe some toe socks would have helped!! lol

    Hey Wombmate,

Oy gevalt, I need that like a hole in the head (אי גולט אני צריך זה כחור בראש). The story, I mean. (You actually feel pain in your dreams? Oy oy OY. I’m trying to think of whether and when that happens. I can’t. A lot of other senses are engaged, including color vision usually, but not pain that I can remember. My bedtime pains are real, like the mother of all leg cramps from lack of salt or potassium. But oddly enough, I stumble a lot in my dreams — enough to wake me up, every time.)

    Hey Niece.com,

The only time I have ever lost a sock in the dryer was when someone else — my landlady of long ago — did my wash as a favor. However, I have watched as the dryer here has eaten alive a towel, little by little, over the space of several months. It does that with other things too. (All that lint has to come from somewhere.)

The species *Dryer horriblis* is less like a tiger and more like a sarlaac. Usually it doesn’t kill and eat you all at once; it usually eats you alive and then slowly digests you over a thousand years.
